Where money leaks at the counter
Most restaurant theft isn't dramatic. It's a bill printed for the guest and cancelled after they pay cash, a dish sent to the kitchen that never reaches a bill, a generous discount late at night, or a drawer that's a little short every evening.
Each of these leaves a trace in the billing software, if someone looks.
TezBill looks for you
Reports → Alerts lists the bills and people worth a look, most serious first. It's only visible to the owner.
- ✓Bill cancelled after printing
- ✓KOT sent, order cancelled, no bill
- ✓Cash short at day close
- ✓Discount of 25% or more, or after 10 pm
- ✓Free (NC) bills of ₹500 or more
- ✓Orders left open for hours
Spotting a pattern, not just one bill
One cancelled order means nothing. Nine in a day from the same cashier, when they usually cancel two, is worth a conversation. TezBill compares each person's cancellations, discounts, free bills and reprints with their own previous four weeks and flags anyone far above their usual.
Prevent it, not just find it
Every staff member logs in with their own PIN. Cancelling, discounting or reprinting can require a manager's PIN, and everything is written to the audit log with who did it and who approved it.
What TezBill alerts you about
- ✓Bills cancelled after they were printed
- ✓Food sent to the kitchen without a bill
- ✓Cash short at day close
- ✓Large or late-night discounts
- ✓Items removed after the KOT
- ✓Staff doing far more cancellations than usual
Questions from owners
Can my manager see the alerts?
No. Alerts are for the owner only, because a manager's own actions can appear in them.
Can I change what counts as a large discount?
Yes. The late-night hour, discount percentage, hours an order may stay open and cash shortage amount are all adjustable.
